15 yr old with permit in ohio, got speeding ticket 85 in a 65. Mom was in car. What can happen?

You might not be getting your license anytime soon, that's for sure. How could your mom let you speed like that? That's crazy. I hope that you will have until you're 18 to get your license. You are possibly faving a revocation of your permit and a heavy fine...as is your mother, since she was the adult in the vehicle.

You need to go back to driver's education and learn about speed limits before you get yourself or someone else killed. Kids like you scare the hell out of me...and I don't want to end up scraping you up off the highway.

well if your mom didn't already slap you silly, (my mom would have) you pay your fine, and it goes on your record. I'm not sure if it deters you from being able to get your license.. but it should be on your record for 3 to 5 years. and will make your insurance go up. too many more, and you can get your license suspended. i'd just go to court for it, and see what the judge says.

im not sure about you..but my bf was doing 95 in a 70 same situation in Tennessee they got a small time lawyer that knew the judge and got it completely dropped ..

but you can lose permit get your license held until your 21

Wow, 20 miles over the speed limit for someone with just a permit. When you go to court tell the judge you're sorry and put yourself to the mercy of the court. Tell the judge it won't happen again and you regret going that fast. Tell the judge there was light traffic (if that's true) and it was a clear sunny day (if true) and you didn't realize you were going that fast.

Basically, depending on state laws, you could lose your permit and be banned from getting your license until you're 18 or 21. You and your mom will also have to pay a large fine. This is considered reckless driving. If you can convince the judge you weren't driving recklessly, if you can get the reckless driving charge dismissed, that's a plus. You might want to seek the advice of a lawyer.

Depending on which state you are in, you could lose your license. You could be banned from getting your license untill age 18 or 21. Your MOM should have gotten a ticket also for improper supervision and child endangerment. Your MOM is not cool, she is irresponsible.

hopefully, your mom also got a ticket so her insurance rates go up and she gets points on her license .. as far as your situation, they should pull your license and make a court order so you can't get your license until you are 18, or as in some states, 21

well put it this way,15 mph over the speed limit is considered reckless driving..get a lawyer to drop the charge to a lesser offence,other wise the mom is going to have to take the hit on reckless driving on record which will effect your insurance cost and can even lead to suspension

What do you expect us to say? Just chill and wait for the ticket. The worst they can do is suspend your licence for a while, no biggie.
