i know this might sound like im an idiot but i was just wondering this, im 15 and i got my permit yesterday and i didnt read the book and passed the first time taking it, and i was wondering when you are driving at a fast pace , and your coming around a corner, i know your suppose to slow down, but this is what my question is, if you take your foot after the gas the car will slow down right? i would think so. haha

Ok so if you are driving at speed and you see a corner up ahead, then taking your foot of the gas early, on the approach, will slow the car down, don't forget you can also use the brake if the corner is getting too close, and when you get to the speed you require to get round the corner safely then you can gently put you foot back onto the gas. Basically, you brake into a corner( which means before the corner) and accelerate out of it ( when you get to the apex, the middle of the corner). See not a stupid question a all and you were right! No if you take your foot off the ACCELERATOR it will speed up. Of course it will start to slow down, unless you are going down a steep hill, well grade is more what matters then the size. Anyway you'll never get a license if you don't learn a little bit about the basics. Also trying to take a turn at a high speed ISN'T going to make you slow down, it will make you lose control or crash. You need to slow down BEFORE taking that turn. |

It will slow down but not too fast, and you could turn over if it does not. |

are you driving an automatic
cause those dont slow down very fast
if your driving a manual transmission you can downshift and it will slow down
as far as i know a car that is running properly is not suppose to slow down instantly
you will probably go from 60 to 50 in 10 seconds
but thats a pretty long time considering how brakes will do that instantly |

Unless you are going down hill, it will slow down some, but perhaps not enough. You may need to brake in order to slow enough. |

You will slow down but you might even stop the car.So always keep the your foot on the gas. |
