I got a flat bout two months ago and i bought a used tire to replace it and its worked good so far but i was wondering.. Im currently unemployed so spare money is hard to come by so i was wondering do you think im better off purchasing used tires for my cars or try to save up and buy a new set? If i buy the used ones will i have any problems??

There are many places to buy used tires from. If you buy them from a private individual, who is selling a set of 3 or 4, this is probably an OK situation. If you buy a set of 2 or 4 from a new tire dealer, this is probably OK also. A lot of people buy new tires before they really need to, leaving the new tire dealer with a matched set.
Don't buy from a used tire dealer, as it is hard to tell where the tires came from. If a used tire dealer is selling a set, he probably matched up 2 or 4 of the same type of tires with different mileage on each one.
Or you can buy 2 new tires at a time. Always put the new tires on the steering axle and put your best 2 off of the car on the rear. |

I do not think buying a used tire is a good idea.
If we consider what it may have gone through on the previous vehicle and how that may impact your safety. |

save a buy new ones .. worn parts inherit problems from the automobile there pulled from.. also once a tire has been run in one direction so long. if You reverse the direction the belts in the tire will separate or break and there a knot will form on the tire. there is know way to tell unless the tires were marked when pulled off. also if the automobile was out of line or had front end geometry problems. They will show up on your car in the way of vibration or veering to one direction. so again i would buy the new ones and hed off future problems or accidents caused by used tires. |

Save up and buy new...............when buying used tires you will never know what direction they were rolling first, they could have internal cord damage that cannot be seen and they could blow out at any time.....safety first always. |

i would go for good quality part worn (used) over cheap new ones.
as long as they come from a good seller and are fitted right, they should be ok |
