B. within the first five or ten minutes. this is becuase when it starts raingin the water pulls up all the oils and everyhting from the road and makes it much more slick. increasaing the risk of hydroplaning. |
|

B because when it first starts raining, it brings the oils on the road to the surface. |

B of course the oil on the pavement has not washed away yet in the first few minutes of a rain shower. |

B, unless you live in washington because then the oil hasn't had time to stay on the road from the last time it rained. |

JUST AS SOON AS THE FIRST GROPS OF WATER HIT THE OILS AN LIQUIDS THAT DRIP OUT OF CARS ON THE ROAD. A TINY SHOWER CAN MAKE ROADS SLICKER THAN ICE. |

The first rain lifts the oil on the pavement up, making it slippery.
After about 10 minutes of rain, the oil is washed away. |

The answer is (b) rain causes oil on the road to rise to the surface(oil floats on water) this will cause a loss of traction until enough water has fallen to somwhat wash the road clear, but note the road is never compleatly clear |

The answer would be B. A road is most slippery at this point. This is due to most roads being created from Asphalt.
As the sun beats down on asphalt it draws the oil in it to the surface, so when it rains, the oil and water is combined to create a slippery surface on the road. As the rain continues it will eventually wash the oil off the road, that is why it is always the worst during the first 5- 10 minutes. |

yup B. it's because of all the sedatives and what not from the traffic are still on the road making it more slippery than the wet pavement. |
