Am I a bad person for laughing at this?

My neighbors are fervent hunters, and they usually bring back a deer every two weeks. Well, they pulled up about an hour ago with one strapped to the hood of their car, apparently dead, and another strapped to the top and parked the truck, and left in another truck.
Well, about 4 minutes ago, out of my window, I see the car start to move and the deer is thrashing and pretty much beating the **** out of the truck. You hear a big bang, glass shatters, and then the deer takes off running into the woods behind their house. The second deer, the one on top of the car, is still dead, as in, it wasn't alive to begin with, but I can't stop laughing at this.

I think this is payback for them stripping the deer in their front driveway every two weeks, right where I can see it. And I'm a vegetarian.

Its easy to believe that an animal is dead after shooting it. I've seen animals that were shot or hit by cars get up hours later and take off running. Its more or less of a stun, or they become knocked out. If the shot doesn't hit the target, it can knock them our or stun them.

I would have been ROTFLMAO, and I'm a hunter! What kind of neanderthal drives an animal home to field dress it? There's a reason you gut it where it drops, the internal organs begin decaying immediately and the heat and gas generated can ruin the rest of the meat!!

For that reason as well, game usually isn't strapped to the hood like it was back in grandaddy's day, unless you're grillin it, HEAT DAMAGES MEAT!!

I think they are not very intelligent hunters, or you are pulling our leg. I can't imagine this scenario where a stunned deer is not only loaded, but transported and hasn't bled out.

not at all. what would be even more funny is if you were to shoot them and strap them to your truck (if you have one) or theirs (if not) and treat them as they would a deer.

well i think this storie is made up as most hunters field dress there game ( remove the internal organs) as they don't want to pack out all that extra whieght .

not to be on the hunters side but you see they do a job to keep the deer population in check as for every two weeks well i would call the game Worden and ask him if this is right as for you laughting that the deer totally ****** up the truck well let me tell you i have friends that hunt and have never seen any hunter that did not cut the deers through after bagging it good for the deer and yes im laughting my back side off......

Nope, you're not a bad person for laughing. Heck, if those were my neighbors, I would have grabbed the camcorder, filmed the entire thing, then put a copy in their mailbox.

Oh its much better to buy the meat off the shelf from a slaughterhouse where the cow hasn't a chance and is locked up all day. I think hunting and killing your own food is not a bad thing, I think having to work for it makes it all the better. I personally don't have time for it and don't live where I can do it.

Yes its funny that the idiots don't know how to kill a deer and because of it their truck got smashed up. But to say that hunting is bad, even though that is how the human race flourished throughout history, is just narrow minded and ignorant. It is much worse for a cow in a slaughterhouse than it is for a deer in the wilderness. I will still eat both.
I don't agree with people who hunt merely for the trophy. I think it is important to eat what you kill and use as much as possible from it.

Oh I find it highly amusing myself.
Though I got to ask what's with all the anti hunting posts here? What's wrong with killing a deer if your going to eat it? It keeps them from over populating, and deer meat is pretty much used like beef.

umm, I would feel too concerned about the poor injured deer to be laughing at this matter.

However, I see the humor in the deer damaging their car. Sounds they deserved it. :)

I am a hunter. I see a lot of people in the "hunting is bad/hunting is good" argument here. As a hunter, I still think that is totally hilarious and I would think something is wrong with you if you didn't find that funny, after witnessing it 1st hand.
