I'm getting my learners permit soon. I'm almost 16. But I only weight like 87-89 pounds. Do even weight enough to drive?
I'm only 4'9ish

Seriously, be sure to use a WEDGE cushion (not a pillow) to boost your seated position. When I have a short student, I carry several types of cushions.
Pillows don't support your back properly.
You should be seated so that if a ruler were placed under your chin, it would be level across the top of the steering wheel.
Also, due to your height, you MAY wish to consider a car with adjustable pedals that move closer to you, rather than moving the seat forward. You MUST be a minimum of 10" from the steering wheel to avoid serious injury from the airbags. |
