If you saw a flash, expect a ticket in the mail. SInce the camera identifies the vehicle and not the driver, typically there are no points. If you get a ticket in the mail (they are usually $100 or so), probably best to pay it than waste your time fighting a picture (and getting points).

Those cameras are a revenue raising device, do not labor under the misapprehension that they are anything else.

Don't worry you will get a ticket in the mail soon. If not you made it just in time. I really think red light cameras are ok. But think speeding cameras should be abolished in USA and UK.

There is a risk of getting a ticket, I'm sad to say. The ones here in Colorado will take a picture of anyone in the intersection after about 1 second of being yellow. My friend lives in VA and he said it would be a ticket for running a red light, which is a 4 point ticket. Usually the fee is 100-200, but depends on the county. The good news is that they are reviewed by someone before a ticket is issued. If you were as far through the intersection as you have described I wouldn't worry about it! good luck.

I cant help you with the amount because I live in wisconsin..(sorry) but for future notice...You can get special clear plastic license plate covers that look normal from behind or blurred from a camera veiw (up high)...

Oh yeah your getting a ticket. The cameras turn on when the light turns yellow, and records all cars going thu. If it can be determined that you could have safely stopped instead of going on the yellow YOU WILL BE CITED.

If there were people behind you, you can always say you felt you couldn't stop safely and instead of slamming on breaks continued through as you felt you could safely get through before it turned red.

I had the thrill of sitting through a red-light camera hearing a while ago. I was in court for something else. Don't tell them you couldn't stop because someone was on your tail unless they really were on your tail, because they can see what was in front of you and behind you. They have photos, and they don't lie.

Aye man. my bro was in the same problem but his was in Tennesee (however you spell it) but ya. so your ticket wont be that much if you did pass it. but you can also appeal this ticket if you happen to get one and if you think it is worth it. but dont worry bout it that much

if it already happened and you didnt harm anyone, the police wont bother you with a ticket, trust me. Besides as you said, it was changing from yellow to red, and as long as you didnt cross the white line after it turned red, theres absolutely no worry for a ticket. Trust me, ive seen drivers pass red lights tons of times, and although i dont encourage it, i can really say they did not get a ticket.
PS: The ticket in Canada is 100 bucks for first offense.
But seriously, your not gonna get one.

if it was before 6:00 am. most def dont worry bc the cameras arent on yet. at least the ones near my house arent. ive done it plenty of times

More than likely you got caught...so here's what you do... when you get your ticket, pay the fine with a check or money order for A few dollars more than the fine...that way they gotta send you the change. The ticket cannot be reported to your insurance until the fine is cleared. So when you get the check in the mail for the change... don't cash it and the ticket will never get reported to your insurance. It works...trust me.
