Are Old Traffic Counter Boxes worth any money?

At work I have 20 counter boxes at work that look like they are 30 years old or more. They told me to dispose of them but I wanted to see if they were worth any money before I just throw them away.

They probably are worth something. If it isn't against company rules, you could take a traffic box, and put it up for bid online, at probably e-bay just to see how much its worth or how much someone is willing to give you for it. If it is against company rules, and they want you to dispose of it then do so. Or if you want you could ask someone you work with that knows something about those devices. My suggestion is to ask about it at work. But my guess is that since they are at least 30 years old as you say then its probably worth something but not too much.

They're worth some money to someone who wants to buy them, otherwise they're scrap. Recycle the aluminum. Are they the old Econolite or Eagle boxes. Some of these are heavy guage aluminum boxes that can be used for some type of secure box.
