There is a BMW M6 Dinan that is "tricked out" in my neighborhood. The driver drives it like he is on a racetrack,extremely recklessly, driving at very high speeds, tailgating, weaving, etc..The taillights are blackened and very difficult to see. Are they legal? If someone rear ended this car, would it be their fault? The car's license plate is covered by some sort of film that makes it almost impossible to read, unless you are directly behind it, so it is very difficult to report this reckless driver to the police. It is obvious that the driver uses radar detectors and laser jammers, because he slams on his brakes constantly after speeding around curves and bridges at very high speeds. Should this car be reported to anyone? if so, who and how? He is going to kill someone.

Any alteration to the required lights (headlights, tail lights, stop ights, turn signals, etc) is a violation of federal vehicle law and almost all state laws.
Call your police department and make a complaint. Video evidence would be very helpful, especially if you get enough over the course of several days to prove that he's a habitually reckless driver.

blackened taillights are one of the dumbest things make it so hard to see even in the dark... here what to do next time pick up the phone call cops and say i want to report a drunk driver he is all over the road and speeding and slowing down say he might be drunk or on drugs the way hes driving...say where he at and which way hes going and let them work it out |
