im just wondering the statistics because you don't have to wear a seat belt.

While I don't have firm numbers ready for you, I can assure you they don't. As a matter of fact, anyone under 18 is required to wear a seat belt. This has been around so long that it has developed into a habit. Most people actually do wear one, even when not made to by a law.
