I've had this happen to me on many of occasions. I would have the right of way. I am already stopped at a stop sign in a parking lot and someone else come up to a stop sign on the opposite side of the street from a parking lot and stop and look right at me and I look at them to make sure they don't decide to proceed although I have the right of way. So, I proceed making my left turn and I am already in the road and then out of the blue they make there left turn right in front of me a stop on their brakes and look at me right in my face. I do take off to fast because I expect people to do this. I already out in the lane and they are crossing my car, my front end is facing their side driver door. Sometime I feel people I out to cause accidents and in a lot of these cases they are driving an old beat-up car and probably do not have insurance.

yes, it a well-known insurance scam. its usually a group of two to three cars. one behind, one next to and one in front of the victim. the front one makes a sudden brake, then you brake, then the last guy brakes, hits your car, get injured, get insurance money. they did a dateline show about this a couple of years back. |

These type of people are going through a psychological problem where they draw pleasure out of the discomfort of the other. They would do all odd things where they need to be noticed. The best thing is not to be provoked with these kind of actions and donot loose your mental peace. These people need sympathy as they have not tasted the love and care from their near and dear one's. |

I drive a motorbike and I am convinced of it. I had a guy yesterday who saw me coming along the road and deliberately pulled out in front of me so that he could cross the road and join the traffic going in the opposite direction. He was probably thinking that he could get away with it as I wouldn't dare hit him.
Another time, I was on my bike in heavy traffic. I was in lane and a BMW driver decided to change lanes. He wanted in my lane so rather than indicate and wait for a gap, he drove his car right up beside me. He was halfway between the two lanes and drivers behind him were getting annoyed so he kept nudging his car close and closer to me. I kept my ground because if I had moved, he would have pushed me out of the lane and into oncoming traffic. |
