In raw numbers, men have more accidents.

But the question is never that simple...

Men, on average, drive A LOT more than women and there are a lot more male drivers on the roads. This explains, largely, why men are more likely to have accidents.

But that said, we need to define what an accident is. Men tend to drive faster than women, and are more likely to run off the road from taking a bend too fast etc.

On the other hand though, women are more likely to hit the curb when they park, reverse into the car behind them while parking or any one of the other small accidents one can have when having to do tight manuevers.

I beleive this largely to be why insurance premiums are lower for women, most of their accidents are minor claims (which aren't worth claiming most of the time due to the excesses on policies). Males collisions tend to be more expensive.

Historically, No. However in today's world full of women with cellphones I wouldn't be surprised if the answer has turned to a yes.

Nope. Women get lower insurance rates for a reason.

No. Collisions are caused by speed, alcohol, recklessness; traits displayed more by men than women. As for cell phones, men are just as guilty as women. As noted, women have lower insurance rates, and it is not because the insurance companies wish to lose money on them.

No its the opposite. The highest rate of car accidents are males 16-25 and senior males.
