When you approach a four way, three stop intersection, and you are stopped, and another car is stopped, who has the right away?

The car on the right has the right of way. Unless the cars arrive at different times then the first one does. |

Obviously the lane which is a straight through has the right of way. Once that lane is clear it is between you and the other cars who are stopped.
Whoever got there first goes first.
If it is a tie- person on right goes first (driver's side rule - whoever would get hit on the drivers side if you collided, gets to go first.)
If person who has right to go - say person on your left is going to turn left into mall but pedestrian is crossing and they can't go - they you may go straight.
Use your judgment though and don't be afraid to signal a driver to go ahead if you are not sure. I've been stuck a few times where I signaled driver to go and they signaled me to go! Then we both moved a foot ahead and stopped -signaling the other to go!!! This went on for 30 seconds - both of us going and stopping @ same time! It can get confusing sometimes for sure! (I won that battle by putting my car in park and crossing my arms - letting the driver know I wasn't going to budge until they cleared the intersection - we were both laughing! But most importantly - we took out time until we safely did what we had to do!) |

Case like that, where you're all stopped, you must yield to the driver on your right. One of the 3 drivers will not have a driver on his right, so he goes first.
But I agree with Mike K, if you're uncertain, I don't mind leading off, just to get things moving along. |
