Can you name a wreck or pit road accident where the safety equipment did its job? any series will do. I am thinking of Dale Jr.'s corvette crash in 2004 and maybe this past weekends wrecks at Talladega. If you know of an open wheel accident that the saftey equipment did its job then please include it.

There are far too many racing accidents to name, where the safety equipment did it's job. About 98% of all professional racing accidents, the safety equipment does it's job. There are a few exceptions, like the accident that killed Dale Sr, or the fence not stopping all debris at Talladega. However, at Talladega, the safer barrier did it's job very well when Robby Gordon hit the wall and the in car equipment left Carl Edwards able to run to the finish line after exiting his car (or what was left of his car) |
