There have been car accidents in which a baby got hidden by part of the wreckage or thrown from the car and is not immediately found. The sign is to alert response personal to look for the baby.
This "might" also discourage someone from highjacking a car if they knew a baby was inside. |

drive more cautiously around that car as to not put the life of the baby in danger. and most stickers with big letters like OC can mean places. for example, OC means ocean city. or OBX for the outer banks. |

I can't believe these people . If you don't know the answer and have to guess at a fictitious answer then don't put one in . The baby on board sign is so if there is an accident the rescue workers can look for a baby . The GB sign means the person or car is from Great Britain and is proud of it. |

give them more room. most idiots tail gate and drive aggressively, they hope is that since you know by driving like that you'll act more grown up and drive responsibly to protect the life of the child. |

Just to let you know that they have a small person and that you need to be a little more careful, its no bid deal to show that you can be human..

It doesn't change anything. I drive as I always do. The parent needs to be responsible for the safety of ther own child, not the other drivers around her vehicle. They need to drive carefully and make sure the child is properly restrained. It's almost as if those signs absolve a parent of any responsibility while driving. Well, I don't see it that way. All drivers are responsible for their own driving, child present or not.
Those signs are no different from the ones that say "I love my German shepherd" or "I love your wife" or "My kid beat up your honor student".
The signs are pointless and most people just ignore them, except maybe for emergency personnel who, if they see the sign, would know that a child might possibly be in or around the vehicle in the event of an accident. However, the last time I responded to an accident that involved a car with one of those signs, the sign wasn't in the window anymore...then again, neither was the window. No baby was on board.
EMT
One of the funnier ones I saw said "Armed pit bull with AIDS on board". |

it means beware as the driver might not be concentrating fully on the road with a screaming baby. |

when it sais baby on board, you should drive normal,it is only a precausion to not over speed ,sometimes when it sais ,to drive at 40,people tend to ignore and drive 55 or 65mph and may have an accident,or you might be late to get some were ,and that sign tells you that he or she cannot risk the babies life by driving faster it can mean many other things ,but that one is the best to have in mind. |

It's basically saying "be careful, or the baby gets it". |

The post that so that other drivers know that they are distracted and not paying attention to the road. You are suppose to steer clear of them as they are a danger to themselves and others on the road. |

Whenever I see signs like that I make a mental note to myself: "Should I, if so unfortunate, have an accident on this road for any reason, aim for THAT car"

because you shouldnt cut them off or do anything that might cause them to get into an accident because they have a baby in the car who can easily get hurt or killed by an accident. |

Hahahahaha. ''What am I suppose to do?? Stop driving? No horn? Turn off the head lamps?'' Ahh...I got a good laugh out of that one. Now uhm...on a serious note...
Baby on board is just another way of saying ''Watch the way you're driving, there are kids in the car''. I actually don't know what GB or G means...Gerber? Hahaha. I don't know >.< |

Apparently we're supposed to be more careful. Hard to do when you're outraged by the idiotic sign in the back window. They weren't even cute 20 years ago. I can't believe we're STILL seeing them. |
