The fact is Cabbabis is great. It helps out in millions of ways. It helps relieve stress, and gets rid of headaches, backaches, menstral cramps, you name it.
No ones ever died of a weed overdose.
It's great and that's why in lots of states you can get prescriptions.
The only reason it isn't legal is because the government feels they wouldn't be able to control it. Of course there would be a tax on it, like alcohol and cigarettes, but unlike alcohol and cigarettes people would be growing it everywhere, in their yards, in their rooms. Not too many people make their own booze these days, and I don't know of too many people who grow their own tobbaco. So when the government figures out a way to control it (tax it), then it will be available legaly. There really are numerous health benifits to marijuana and you can use it for paper (which is cheaper than using trees, after all its just a weed). You can make tea, food, cereal, hats, bags, clothes, paper, all types of stuff from it. It's great. Alcohol will destroy your mind and body, and I've lost too many friends and family to alcohol. I've never lost anybody to weed. |

i agree with you. |

When you are high you are typically less of a hazard to others than when you are drunk. |

Different degrees of drunkenness seem to cause different reactions - you may be fine one night but the next if you drink too may get in a fight or not even realize what you are doing and do something stupid like sleep with someone or drive and get in an accident.
I agree being high is safer. For one thing because it's illegal you usually smoke it and hang out where you are at - if you do venture out you never black out. You can't overdose - but you can cloud your brain. That however seems to be reversable if you just lay off for a few years. |

i totally agree with you, "people" say that you are slower on the draw per say when you are high, but in my opinion i am more aware of my surroundings when i'm high (opposed to drunk), besides you never hear of high drivers, it's always drunk drivers that kill people or run off the road....AGAIN....just my opinion though |

I agree! And as long as you're not driving, who cares! Actually, I heard that the original reason for criminalizing marijuana involved DuPont because they knew that if the public ever found out that hemp fabric, and the material made out of hemp resin is much more resilient, cheaper, and less cancer-causing than plastic(!!!) they'd freak! |

"I know from experience that cannabis is safer and you have better judgement." You apparenly already have your answer... Since I'm JimTHX, Lieutenant of the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire, I would side with being high on physics! |

Correct me if I'm wrong...and I am a former smoker...but how many accidents do you hear about on the news regarding pot...meth maybe (eww) but not pot, huh? |

Well health wise I'd say weed is better for you- you don't black out from weed and you can't get marajuana poisoning. If you need cheap ways to pass a drug test for work ask me I know them all!
As far as the law goes, they want you to drink... just don't drive and be of age to purchase lol
And all of you people that are saying "well niether one is good"... you're not answering the guy's question, this question is obviouslly not for you if you don't prefer either! |

First, you can't trust any of my answers to this question, as i've been in neither state of being. However, in the interest of answering the question, I would guess that it HIGHLY depends on your activity. Driving I would venture that being high is safer, only because they don't have ad campaigns telling you not to drive high. Still it's not as safe as sobriety. Wow, I sound soo........ |

Studies have shown that motor skills and proper judgment are severely impaired while a person is drunk. The skills and responses needed to drive safely are not effected by the use of cannabis. Some may in fact overreact to certain conditions when using cannabis or my be too paranoid to drive. |

I think they are about equal. Typically people don't get as high as they do drunk, so there's a tendency to think being high is safer, but they're both very dangerous states to be doing any driving or major decision making in. |

Alcohol is obviously very dangerous... just drinking too much can kill you (alcohol poisoning) There is no such thing as Marijuana poisoning... However THC has a very subtle and deceptive effect on the human consciousness... what I mean is you might think your reflexes and mental faculties are operating at full capacity, but they really aren't.... most people know when they're too drunk to drive, but most people don't know when they're too high to drive (From my somewhat limited experience on this subject). |

Pot, yes u could drive better, still in slows reaction time down. So if u want to take that chance of killing self or someone else or worse. Smoke at home if u just have to have it. Seek treatment for this kind of thinking. Nurse at A&D unit. So u hate me already because u know I am right. Pot won't hurt u your tough, I said the same thing when I shot herion at 18 and now I am 49 so keep on smoking Chief Wahoo. Bet u do more than pot. |

Don't know, but either is probably safer than yakkin' on a cell phone. At least a drunk or stoner is TRYIN' to drive! |

Both can impair your judgement... |

It depends on what you're trying to be safe from. I would say neither if you're operating a vehicle (being high is just as dangerous as being drunk). In terms of who is a safer person, I'd rather be around a pothead than a drunk because the pothead is less likely to go violent on you. |

neither!!!i don't understand why you have to be high on anything!!!get yourself clean and start being a useful human being to society!!! |

I think either is really stupid. You can kill innocent people while doing either of them, not to mention your brain cells and liver. I guess if you want to die young, go ahead just don't drive. |

yeah dude you are right i believe through all of my experiences being high and drunk i have to say i had a more dangerous time when i was drunk. i think it has something to do with me not being able to walk when drunk, but yeah dude your right, hell im high right now and im not hurt...and if i was drunk right now i wouldn't be sitting here writing this right now i would be in a car somewhere in a ditch possibly...
nah dude i'm just playing and don't really know go ask your mom our something |

i like how you explain you were high on cannabis.
neither are safe. its one thing, almost risking your life or anothers just driving in the first place. and bein "lit" doesnt make it any better.
just remember to wear your seatbelt. |
