Blind Spot Question?

Blind spots are areas behind you that cannot be seen in rear-view mirrors. To offset this problem when changing lanes, you should:
A) Turn your head to check what the mirrors do not show
B) Add convex mirrors that show a wider area
C) Make sure your vehicle has two rear-view mirrors
D) All of these
I think the answer is A, what do you guys think

D is a good answer, but when this is happening you can't go out and add a convex mirror and it's too late to make sure your vehicle has two rear-view mirrors.
That leaves A as the best answer. |

In addition to checking your mirrors and being aware of the cars around you, you must also check your blind spot by physically turning your head and looking so the answer is A) |

If C means outside mirrors then it makes sense that D would be the correct answer. If not then A makes the most sense. |

Definitely "D". I do all three. Since I drive an Explorer, I do have convex mirrors. I use them a lot. I also turn to look and for many years, vehicle manufacturers place side mirrors on both sides of the vehicle. One bad thing about an ambulance is that the rearview mirror is practically useless. We rely almost completely on our side view/convex mirrors and our partners (a second set of eyes always helps).
Note: if driving a large truck or towing a large trailer or boat, install the extended convex mirrors.

As for Stan's response, the mirrors are already on the car. I put convex mirrors on my truck the day I bought it. That's a no-brainer. Use all resources available to you...it's that simple. |

It's "A"
Having two rear view mirrors wouldn't work, I don't think.
And adding convex mirrors is out of the question. If cars needed them, they would already be built on. |

Look I know you need an answer so you can get some grade or something but the real answer to use in the real world is....there is no reason to have a blind spot!!!111
