I did actually notice more cars on the road today. Because of differents heights in children parents would have to cater for others children too so now they'll all take their own. what do you think? Yet another thing for the government to cash in on!

Sorry but I've got to totally disagree.
Surely the safety of the children comes before anything else! If the child is under 12 or the 135cms (i think) then those parents have to get a booster seat, simple, so how difficult is it for one parent to take the seat off the other and place within the car??? Problem solved. For the sake of a few pounds I'm sure all parents would agree this is very worthwhile.
How often have you seen kids jumping around the backseat of a car, if that car is in an accident the child will more often than not DIE.
The booster seat may not stop this entirely but will go a long way in reducing deaths.
I have dealt with road accidents involving children so kinda know what I'm talking about. |

best all round if kids were walked to school less traffic more exercise. we had to walk to school and back. no wonder kids today are lazy. there wrapped in cotten wool. |

Its all pure coincidence if the roads are busier, I doubt half of them are actually aware of the law and exactly how it affects them personally. I think well done to the government. For once they've brought in a law that actually has some benefit. I'm sick of seeing children in cars with no seat belts or sitting on mothers laps in the front. About Time Is What I say!!!!!! |

I think that lazy fat arsed parents should walk their kids to school.
We walked the 3 miles to school every day. |

Hmmmm.... I see your point, but whoever carries the kids will need booster seats, so there is no reason why parents should not take others kids AND their booster seats!
I think the main point of the new law is to tighten up on people carrying large numbers of inrestrained kids in cars. I am aware that existing legislation already covers that, but it is rarely enforced. It will be interesting to see how the police enforce it, and whether or not it is enforced differently in different areas. |

snooky me!

I have to agree .. its all in our kids interests ! Id rather have a grumpy restrained kid in my car than see him flying through the windscreen .. As for the school runs .. I walk 4 miles a day to take and pick up my little one .. he rides his scooter ... Maybe this new law will make some parents leave the car at home .. and actually get some excersise!!! |

They save children's lives. What could be more important than that?
Of course, mother's could always walk their children and their friends home, thus reducing traffic for everyone. |

and they let people like you have kids? Stop being selfish for one minute and realize it's all about childrens safety. They are not stopping you from listening to rap music, smoking cigs that you can't afford to buy all the while not buying the baby milk, while you wait for your next welfare check, do I need to continue? |
