A trip to the garage.. |

Usually floatiness at high speed indicates bad shocks, but you Micra is fairly new. That being said, it would still be worthwhile to get it checked out. |

Get the tyres checked for flatspots. If you have skidded recently you may have flatspotted one or both of the tyres.
It could just be wheel ballance or even a tyrewall bulge it needs looking at.
It would be worth getting the tyres checked before going hi-speed again. Some garages like National will check your tyres for free,,,, ring first though and check.
Visit their site for the correct pressures. |

Have someone check your front end alignment.and shock absorbers. |

Micras can be a bit skittish at speed but you should get your shocks checked at a garage. |

sounds like your shock absorbers need replacing.
similar thing happened to a Fiat Brava that I had a couple of year ago..
can be dangerous too if not fixed - because it will adversely affect your stopping distance.
unfortunately depending on your car and whether you need, 1-2-3 or 4 done.. it can be expensive - it cost me over £200 for all 4 of mine done at the time. |

shocks, struts, or coil springs bad?? |

First check you have the correct tyre pressure, also check each tyre for uneven wear, bulges or splits.
Next check shock absorbers, simple test is to press each corner of the car down or rock the car, if the shock absorbers are ok the car should always return in one stroke to the level position, not bounce.
It may also be that you are describing a wobble, rather than a bounce. Wheel balancing and wheel alignment may be required. |

Take it to your local garage and get the basics checked, suspension, tyre pressures etc.
I have driven a Micra like yours and found it to be perfectly stable at all speeds so there is something wrong somewhere.
They are also very reliable and don`t suffer from any major suspension problems.
Get someone to check your tyre pressures first.
I once had a young girl with a Mini with 70 psi in her tyres !
Don`t go to one of these "Fast Fit" centres with it.
They will probably sell you 4 new tyres and 4 new shocks which it won`t need !! |

Get your shockers checked out. |

firstly slow down on the motorway as not all the roads are not so smooth and take your car to a garage to check steering and balance |

check all the tyres have them balanced too whilst off. shockers should be under nissan warrentee. Have them inspected whilst the wheels are off. Most decent garages can do a wheel balance too |

might be as simple as your tyres need balancing. take your car into any tyre fitter bay. it's very cheap to have done.
if that's not the problem then chance are they will be able to tell you what the real fault is. |

get a new car or suspension sorted |
|

It sounds to me as if you need new shock absorbers, while your car is stationary bounce the front of car first and if bounces more then 3 times def. shock aborbers check back as well! Get seen to asap as dangerous if you are fighting with car! |

Either your tyre pressures are too high , or you have aproblem with front suspension . At best , you'll need a couple of front shock absorbers , but for Nissan sounds really unusual . DJC. |

Could be a strut/shock problem as in they are not dampening the road variations and or the tires |
|

Well the roads are not great in this country, but you should check your tyre pressures, and if all else fails, get the suspension checked. |
