you don't say if it's the front or back or both, they have to be fixed you'll just damage the rotors or drums more by driving the car, get a referral from someone that has had a good experience from a shop, don't get ripped off. |

You know what? Stop being cheep and have them fixed. The longer you monkey around the more its going to caust. Then if you try to do it your self like the small portion of back yard mechanics out there. 90 persent of the time mess them up and ya you have brakes but not like there suposed to be. And another thing dont think the best deals are at big garages because its not the case go to a small shop and ask them to do them. They will be happy for your buisness and do the job right. |

Man that just happened to me, "TAKE IT TO THE GARAGE NOW!!!,,, you''ll have to replace rotors if your not careful |

learn how to replace them yourself. most auto parts stores would be willing to help. they generally are quite easy to replace, and doing it yourself will likely only cost about 1/3 of what a garage charges. |

If you're already hearing grinding, you may have not just run out of good brake pad...you most likely have ruined your rotors and maybe your brake shoes too. You should get new pads and new rotors. If you think there is damage to your shoes after tearing everything apart your could possibly change them yourself (you don't want to hear this...) but maybe you should take the car to a garage or have a friend experiences enough in car repair to do the job take a look. |

You need new breaks & maybe rotors. *sp*
Pads are pretty cheap, you can get front and back for around $60 where I live. I don't think they're hard to install either, my little sister changes her own! I'm sure some one in your neighborhood or friend of family can do them for you for free or a couple bucks. If you don't do it soon though your going to ruin the rotors & they're not cheap! |

Your pads or shoes are probably worn. If you don't know how or don't want to to replace them yourself you'll have to go to a garage and have it done. If you don't have them replaced you'll also need new rotors and drums too. Not to mention that your brakes will fail and you or someone else might die. |

You either pay by learning to do it yourself or you hop down off that wallet and pay someone who already learned to fix it. By the way, the brakes need to be repaired as of now or sooner. |

You need new brake pads, and now you will need new rotors. Depending on the car, it could be from $150 to $900. |

Sound like they ARE about to fall apart. If you know what you are doing you can fix the problem but sounds like you need to take it to a shop. |

Sounds like your pads needs replaced and the rotors turned. Pads you can do yourself if you are part auto mechanic, the rotors need to be done in a garage. |
