California law on no parking signs! please help!?

i got a ticket in Pasadena hundson ave for over time 2hr parking limit i swear i did not see such a sign. I looked on google maps to notice there was no sign where i was parked but there was on at the far corner i was wondering if it was standard in California to at least put up two signs on a block to indicate there is no parking or if there is a time limit to the parking.

If you notice this google maps link and you double click location B it will bring you to the street view, notice the blue car (scion tc) on the left that is exactly where i parked!

There is sign any where near my car! do you think its worth fighting? its $38 dollars. its not so much the money as it is the principle of it

If you park in between NO PARKING signs (even if the sign is half a block away) you will get a ticket. You can park before any signs as long as there is no other sign before you but if there is then you are in between again. If the NO PARKING sign is obscured or hidden from public view take a pic and challenge the ticket.
