Of course they can. Your question is SHOULD they?

It really depends on how big your ten year old is. When I was a ten year old, I was as big as most 12 year olds. My mom put me in the front seat of out 19-something Hyundai Sonata without any concerns.

If you really want to drive him around in the front seat, scoot the seat as far back as you can, put it in an upright position and not laid back, and make sure he buckles up.

Thats about as much as I can tell you right now.

Usually the ones that have airbags, it is not a very good idea for younger ones to sit at the front. However, if your 10 year old is quite tall, then it shouldn't be a problem.

no, the ten year old cant. nobody under the age of 12 is supposed to ride in the front seat of any car.

The law in the U.S. states that children must be the age of 13 before they can sit in the front seat.
