Yes. A bent strut is a safety issue. You do not want to drive with a damaged strut. The purpose of the strut is hold the suspension of the vehicle together. Basically it is the element of the suspension in which the re-enforced shock absorber is used as one of the wheel's locating members, typically by solidly bolting the wheel hub to the bottom end of the strut. Its the part of the suspension that allows the driver to have control. If it is damaged you will likely lose control in the process. It helps you maintain your steering power as well. A damaged strut means you won't be able to have full control over the car and you will cause an accident. My suggestion to you is to get it fixed immediately. Do not casually drive with that kind of damage. |
