Can anyone steal a car if its equipped with a Smart or Intelligent key?

Ive heard about a couple of car thefts in which the thieves stole vehicles equipped with Smart keys. How can u start a car with the push button when there is no no key present in the car. The vehicle has to detect the chip in the key in order 2 start.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

Every key will have a different code encrypted in its chip. How can one copy or possibly know it?

The chip is just a sensor. There is a way to imitate that chip/sensor. Not saying that a common car thief would be able to do it, but saying it IS possible.

Yes it can be done......

The thieve gets your VIN and calls his buddy at the dealership that is a crook and he will cut the key for your vehicle...

On the news several years ago the police in Texas asked the people to place a small index card over the VIN that can be seen through the windshield to stop this because they busted a thief ring at a couple of car dealerships...

Easy, I could easily break through that. If I could find a 18 digit Laptop BIOS Password I could break through anything. Not saying I would do, I'm a nice and honest person, I don't steal, I use my knowledge to help people. Just make sure no professional thief is targeting you.
