I think it depends on your speed and the car. the faster you are going than the object you are colliding with, then the more damage you will do to the object that is going at a slower velocity than you. |

It is much easier to die...You don't have to be in a hospital wrapped in bandages or with a tube stuck down your throat breathing for you or a machine pumping your blood..Or you don't have to worry about loosing your family if a spouse decides to divorce you because this the last straw...Or you are served with legal papers stating that you are being sued for several million dollars for negligent homicide...Or you are in jail because your blood alcohol was over the legal limit and your vehicle was impounded and you've been fired from work for another unexcused absence...Life as you know it is over...And you think insurance will cover these little situations?..Guess again!...Dying is easy and you only do it once. |

that depends on a lot of things;
are you wearing your seatbelt?
how bad is the accident?
etcetc. |

If you are driving on the highway at 70 miles per hour.
And someone is coming from the other direction at the same
speed. That is a 140 mile per hour "impact."
Yes. You can die from a car accident. Sorry. <}:-{( |

Velocity times mass times impact angle [and location]
The car is made of metal
a human is made mostly out of water
dying in car accidents is easy |

dwepends on a lot of things but consider the speed at which you are hit, where you are hit (front, side, rear) and if you remembered to wear your seatbelt. |

Can easily die from anything [sic]. Safety is an illusion and life is fragile. Treasure the time you have.
Above, you can easily die at five mph: five mph off a cliff. Five mph and someone travelling seventy-five hits you head-on. |

since the invention of the motorcar 25million people have died as a result of them,
so not difficult to die |

Most definitely. Often times people break their necks / skull from the impact or puncture their lungs causing their lungs to collapse. There are also cases of suffocation from air bags, or burned to death from gas leak. Trust me, there are many different ways to die from a car accident. |

it depends on the impact of the hit |

Yes, over a lifetime, the odds of ding as a car occupant are 260 to 1. Not alarming, but not great either.
From what I read, speed is less of a cause of death than people think. Obviously driving under the influence will probably have the highest odd of killing or getting killed in an accident. Driving like an idiot across all the lanes of a highway including the breakdown lane, will also do it.
Driving recklessly during bad weather will do it. Most importantly, wearing a seat belt is the best thing you can do to tip your odds of survival heavily in your favor, and even more important, making sure that all your passengers wear them is also important because during an accident they will become moving objects and strike you from within the car.
Have fun |

like anything it depends on the severity.
If I jump out my window I might twist my ankle. If I jump off the CN tower... splat.
Same thing with car accidents |

e.g. (for example)
17 yr old boy had hot little car (in my county in Florida)
had his GF and 4 other friends in car - did not realize this extra
QUARTER ton slowed his car down
at 3 am - only 2 vehicles on the road ( 4 lane divided highway)
Him at a stop sign
18 wheeler semi at 60 mph in a 65 mph zone ( i.e. NOT speeding)
the thought he could make it
he will not make that mistake, again
results: 2 airlifted by trauma helicopter
2 by ambulance to ICU
truck driver shaken up, but not injured
17 and girlfriend - did not clear the scene *
removed by the coroner
**************************************...
I was the sheriff's dispatcher who had to coordinate all
the units to assist - not a happy night
**************************************...
very easy to die - BUT - only 5 seconds to miss ICU
take the 5 seconds and be grateful
all the best |
