#1, children under the age of 16 should ride in the back seat
#2 if you don't have a backseat then get the airbag disabled...
In an accident your child is safer in the backseat away from the HUGE windshield of glass!!!! |

They should ride in the back seat. If there is not a back seat then the air bag should be in the "OFF" position. Also, check the instrcutions for the car seat to make sure that it is installed in acordinance with the manufacturer's recommendations. |

The speed at which an airbag deploys can easily break the neck of a small child. A 2 year old should be in a child safety seat (or booster restraint depending on the childs weight) and in the back seat. While deploying an airbag is smart if the child is riding up front, a front-end collision could send engine parts and shattered glass right into the childs lap.

children should sit in the backseat at all times. The only time they should sit in the front in their car seat is if that is the only seat available, like a truck without an extended cab, and the airbag is turned off. If you have a back seat, that is where he needs to be. |
