Can we put off fire with clothes on fire accidents?

Can we roll the person affected by fire with bedsheets or cloth like that to put off the fire? If no, what is the correct steps to save him from fire?

You can use anything available (avoid plastic and synthetic materials as they will melt and cause greater injury) You can also use water.

You want to cut off the oxygen (air) supply to the fire, so the material needs to be thick enough to significantly reduce the air available to the fire otherwise you make things worse, i.e. add more fuel to the fire. That is why you supposed to use a "wet blanket". It cuts off more air and the water has to evaporate be for it will burn. Drop and roll is the standard line for if you are on fire.
