Magistrates were required by law to order Aziz to take an extended driving test, if he ever decides to apply for a driving licence. Isn't that pathetic. Who are these clowns who make such stupid laws?

Dolly Blue
Alarming isn't, what is this country coming to ?

it's damn laughable. no wonder people want to come and live here. they are taking the pi++ out of us and we let them. i think that local 'everday' people should act as magistrates etc as we have our feet on the ground and are aware of the consequences that the idiot of a driver could have created -- it could have been your child at risk.

I found the whole episode so bizarre I can still scarcely believe it!

ELL
that is insane, I see it says on there

In his defence Aziz, who also suffers from leg tremors and has only two fingers on his right hand, said he was testing his driving abilities.

Just testing his driving abilities???? yeah right ok

I know.
New wishy-washy Labour have toyed so much with the Justice System 2 ease the growing Prison Population.
This will B the first of many defies Belief sentences.
Where's the deterrent?
What made me laugh was the Judge ordered him 2 sit an extended driving test!
Stupidity!

What's the point of a ban - are they going to give him a licence after 3 years? The law is a muppet!

It could only happen in England!

"Call me Dave"
The conviction is unsafe as it conflicts with the disabilities discrimination act.

Shocking isn't it. Does this mean that after three years he will be allowed to drive???

I know it's stupid, a 3 year ban!! He can't drive anyway after the 3 year ban

mellor3
it reminded me of the scene from Scent Of A Woman, when a blind Al Pacino was driving a Ferrari through Manhatten, being directed by Chris O'Donnell. I can see why he would want to do it, I personally love driving, but there is no excuse, he did wrong, and should have received a harsher punishment.

Two people were caught in a village near where I live, same day, same gun, roughly same speed , (38 and 42 mph). One got a £300 fine and four points, the other got £60 fine and three points. And this is British justice.
