easy peasy way to do it, try it. drive up street, keep your passenger side about 2 foot away from parked car, but make sure your far enough forward to have your passenger door inline with other cars bonnet. stop. turn your steering wheel fully round once (to the left), put car in reverse and go back until the back of your back seat lines up with other cars bumper. stop. unturn your steering wheel once. (this time to the right), go back straight until your passenger wing mirror lines up with other cars bumper. stop. turn your steering wheel fully to the left and reverse into perfect parking possition.
hint, if you dont touch your steering wheel to striaghten your tyres up, u'll just be able to drive straight back out again. |

In my pickup truck, yes invariably first time is all I need.... At work, sometimes I need 2 attempts in my tractor trailer, but I normally get pretty close the first time. |

If no-one is waiting behind me I can, but if there is someone waiting, it makes me nervous, and I have to do it 2 or 3 times to get in. |

Next time pull up close and align next to the car that will be in front of your car-- about two feet away-- then 'peg' the steering wheel clockwise. (Turn right until you can't turn any more) Look through the rear window; not the rearview mirror---Then begin backing while guiding the steering wheel back to the straight ahead or 12 o'clock position. By the time your car is about to 'bump' the car behind-- stop-- and the car should be parked. Should work for you!
Works for me! |
|

YA is a sham

Line directly next to the car you are parking behind, put gear in reverse and as you are backing when the passenger door is at their back window, start turning toward the other car. When your front wheel is at their back bumper, straighten out and as your front bumper lines with their back, start turning hard toward the middle of the road.
It just takes parctice. |

I can do it quite easily. |

Well, I am 53 years old. I cannot parallel park. Never could. Probably never will. I have had a fine life without it. |

During my driving test, I backed right over the cone. Thankfully, you can see other cars easier... I do fine now. |

no... i don't think so its really hard... my first time i got so scared i jammed my foot down on the gas and almost hit a car don't worry everyone goes through that parallel parking stage too |

It's really hard. Before I got my Mini Cooper I refused to paralell park. Now that I have a tiny car it's a little easy. I don't get to do it often though because most places where I live have plenty of parking lots. |

I've owned a car almost twelve years now, and I couldn't park my car even if my life depended on it. Parallel, forward, clear, anything -- I just can't do it. Good thing I have a motorcycle too, right? |

Nope I certainly can't, I drive a large wagon, and can barely see over the top of my front hood. I don't have a feel for it nor can I see it. Hoyakins |
