Can you pass if you follow a new driving test route?

Can you pass if you follow a new driving test route?

My local test centre is full, while the nearby centres are still available. The problem is so far, I only drive in one test route under the guidance of my instructor.

Do you think it's too risky to use other test routes?

You shouldn't be relying on memorising the test routes. I take pupils of some test routes to show them where the manoeuvres take place. Overall I never stick to test routes. In my area there are 16 routes you could use. I take my pupils everywhere.
Again, if you know how to drive, you should be able to drive anywhere

The examiners only concern is does he feel that you are at an acceptable standard of driving to be allowed on the roads in a car unsupervised. The test route is irrelevant the only reason routes are prearranged is because they contain all the elements to assess your driving such as roundabouts traffic lights somewhere to reverse round corners or parallel park an examiner from outside the area can come in and then examine anyone knowing that all the elements of a driving test will be on that route without knowing the area at all.The test is how safe are you and do you pose a danger to other road users so the route is irrelevant

If you truly know how to drive, the route shouldn't make a difference. If it does, then you should fail.

Rockabilly
Test centres employ several examiners and each has a selection of routes so there is no guarantee you will get your route. As previously stated, it is a driving test not a route test so the actual route should not make any difference to the test of your ability to drive.
You must have a serious word with your instructor as they are not doing you any favours by sticking to one route.

If you know how to drive, what difference does it make?

If you are ready to take your driving test then there is no reason why you can't take it from any test centre. Realistically your driving instructor should have taken you on a variety of routes on your lessons to prepare you for driving in other locations.

I hope you pass, good luck
