The other day I was driving home from the store and these two teenage girls in a Mercedes were going too fast around a curve and almost side swiped me when they swerved out of their lane. So as I passed by them I have them a dirty look and that must have pissed them off. Next thing I know, They're cutting in front of me and slowing way down and when I try to get around them they just cut in front of me again. I finally managed to get away from them by turning onto a different road. Thinking back on it now, I probably should have called the police as it was happening because that's dangerous driving. And getting a ticket from the police probably would have taught those two a lesson. But I didn't... so my question is, if I have their license plate number, can I still turn them into the police for aggressive driving or something? Or is it pointless because there's no way I can prove that it really happened?

I know I probably shouldn't have given them a dirty look and I don't mean to sound self-righteous or anything, but this isn't the first time I've seen this happen. It's happened to my friends and random people I don't even know on the road. I just think this road rage thing is getting worse and worse in South Florida and it's a little ridiculous. =o/

You have three days from the inncident to turn someone in and that is reckless driving and i would and the dirty look is nothing they deserved it. turn them in teenagers need to learn to slow down before they kill someone or theirselfes. call 911 and tell them because its there young words against your older words and who do you think a cop is most likely to believe?? YOU! |

I would go to the local police station and tell them what you have described here. They could tell you if anything can be done about it. Good luck......Hopefully, they can do something about this before those foolish girls cause an accident and get someone hurt! |

Yes you can do that. Its too dangerous, if it went any further you could have ended up in critical condition. If you dont report them, they might do it again and actually hurt someone.
My teacher did it, she called the cops on this driver just with there license plate number.
Just in case, call the non-emergency hot line, so you dont block 911 |

and theres no harm in calling in the police just be like this liscence plate car was doing this and this and maybe that number has been called in for agressive driving before so just call in,

it would be useless to call it in now, however when it is happening that is when you want to call it in, but you must remember that when you call it in you are more or less making a citizens arrest, the cop will want to talk to you and them, they will get a ticket and you could have to go to court if they plead not guilty. normally the police officer will see them do something stupid and then you don't have to worry about it, but remember you could have to face them while they are in front of a judge. good luck. and happy holidays |
