You did not say where the possible carbon monoxide leak was suspected. Is it in a house or in a car? If it is in a car, go take an exhaust emissions SMOG Test. CO gases have no odor and are not usually detectable by humans. If a CO leak is in a house, you can buy a CO detector that goes on a wall in the area of bedrooms. The detector sets off an alarm that will awaken almost anybody. If you suspect a CO leak from your gas furnace, you can call your local gas company and they will come to your house, check and test the flame/burning, and fix the air/fuel mixture if it is not correct. A gas furnace flame should be blue and not yellow or white or black in color. This service is usually a no charge service, but there are companies that will come clean your furnace and adjust it for a reasonable charge. Make sure they also check the chimney for excessive tar accumulation, which can result in chimney fires. CO2 or Carbon Dioxide is a harmless, odorless gas and the major component of the air you breath. |

Yes, it is a good bet. Tell them, if they have not already done so, to get a CO2 detector. |

Yes. You might want to have the fire department or local utility check it out if it is a residence; if it is a car, take it to a mechanic. |

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, tasteless, odorless gas. It causes headaches, nauseousness, and tiredness, and sleepiness, yawning, dizziness and causes the inside of the eye lids to get cherry red.. It can be a long term poisoning. The carbon monoxide attaches to the hemoglobin where the oxygen is supposed to attach and does not let go so you do not get enough oxygen.Any exhaust leak can let CO into the car, it also comes into houses by leaks in the heating system. |

It could possible that. Usually comes along with light headedness too. They best idea is to get a dector before they get worse symtoms |

Yes it is possible.Tell them to go buy a carbon monoxide detector and put it in the hall way between all the bedrooms. It will go off if it detects un safe levels.Letting this go could kill them.long time exposure to even minimal amounts of carbon monoxide is accumulative and can do serious harm. Go buy them one now! |

Maybe, get a detector to be sure.
The problem with carbon Monoxide is that your can't see it or smell it, and in high enough qauntities or prolonged exposure it will kill you. |
