the results of repeated studies from Sweden, England, the US and Canada have found that using a cellphone while driving affects your ability to drive about like 2-3 drinks. |

You want a educated answer but we dont know what you want to know about it. Well lets see I know in most states they are making it a law where u can not use cell phones any more while driving. Not even a blue tooth. You cant text, talk, or do any thing while u have your hands on that wheel. They also made it a law for minors (15-17) using it they can have there L's revoke and suspend until there 21 and a big fined. Any thing else you wanna know? Post it again. |

Presuming you want to know if it is safe, then the answer is NO. It is equal to driving over .08 alcohol. Most countries are now getting the message to make it illegal, the sooner they make car manufacturers fit phone frequency scramblers in cars the better, instead of actually fitting bluetooth stations. |

People using cell phones while driving, regular or "hands free", exhibit the same behavior as people who are DUI (tunnel vision, slow reaction time, etc.).
In my state, new drivers are not permitted to have a phone in their car for six months.
In NC school bus drivers are not permitted to have them on the bus.
That should indicate that they do not belong in the hands, or ears, of someone operating a motor vehicle. |

A study sponsored by Nationwide Insurance, which surveyed 1,200 drivers between the ages of 18 and 60, found that 81 percent of drivers “multitasked” (engaged in distracting behaviors while driving) at least sometimes.
One in eight said he or she changed radio stations or CDs.
The same proportion acknowledged drinking a beverage.
Almost three-quarters talked on a cell phone, and 68 percent ate a snack.
Twenty-three percent acknowledged they experienced road rage and 4 percent said they have driven while intoxicated.
