If 4different cars stop at a 4 way stop at the exact same time how do you determine who goes first?

Actually none of you are right except for whoever said the one on the right, but I am confused... whose right, mine or someone else's? And to redhzkin... Have you never seen a four way stop??? Of course there can be a stop sign on each rode. That's what a four way stop is, 2 intersecting roads with stop signs on each side.

If that was to happen then you are in a very backward community. The only answer is that whoever is the most courteous gives a hand gesture to one of the others to go first, but as that is unlikely to happen, the first one to move goes, and the rest take their turn.
In a sensible road situation only one of the streets would have stop signs, so the situation would not occur.
If you actually have this situation, then complain loudly to the local authorities and Police to get it fixed.

As I say at the beginning of my answer, you must be in a very backward community if you have an intersection with a stop sign at each corner. Advanced countries like in Europe and Australia have long ago got rid of such stupid intersections.
They have been replaced with either a system of Major and Minor roads, or traffic lights in major traffic areas, or roundabouts. |

These things are insane as they rely on the consideration and intelligence of the average US driver...
I regularly drive through these (as a passenger) with my girlfriend who is a native and familiar with them and she never knows whether we'll be in a collision or not, despite actually knowing her turn..
