I have a mild seizure problem because of an epilepsy. Would the DMV(Department of Motor and Vehicles) still grant me a driver's license because of this problem even though this problem was already controlled by medication?

As long as the seizures are well-controlled by medication and your doctor can verify this, with a written statement, I see little to no problem with you operating a motor vehicle. I have even heard/known of professional operators.drivers with epilepsy who continue to drive with no problem as long as he/she is medication-compliant. |

Not quite sure of your location. But where I live ( Australia) No epileptic is permitted to drive a vehicle, operate machinery or work ate heights. All for good sensible reason |

might have to get a doctor to write you a letter.We sure don't need someone that has seizures in a 3ton veh.having a seizure but if a doctor says you are ready to drive then they will let you drive. |

Yes they will,but if it happens after you start driving they will suspend your license for 3-12 months depending on what state you live in |

Maybe. There will be a medical records/review department that will make an assessment based on your medical history and medical recommendations based on the level of control. |

I tell you what, if you caused an accident because you have a seizure...buy no telling what would happen to you. To be honest with you, no offense, but i wouldn't want to share the road with you! |

I think if there under control and you are med compliant and you have had none for at least three months and the doctor clears you then yes,i mean you could be driveing and be a healthy person with no medical problims and all uf a sudden you have one and doctors dont know why so go figur. |
