Well when i used to drive a lorry i got badly cut up on a roundabout by some gimp in a ford transit. I made a note of his fleet number and registration, phoned the number and told the operator what i would do to him when i next saw him on the road.

About six weeks later i saw him parked very tight to a lam post so i parked behind him less than one foot so that he was trapped, then went off and took my forty five minute tacho break knowing he couldn't afford to lose time on his deliveries and also that he couldn't open his back doors to get his parcels whatever. I think he learnt his lesson. The moral is drive considerately because some of us out there take revenge when we feel justified.

Yes. I had the same service van driver cut me off in rush hour traffic in Fort Worth 3 days in a row. The 3rd day my daughter was with me so I had her jot down the phone number and all the identifying numbers on the van that we could safely see and I called his employer. I'm quite sure they didn't want to hear my complaint, but I was nice and pretended I thought they were sincere when they posted that phone number on the van.

personally i havent but my mum did when a lorry was reversing and nearly hit her as she was half way across a pedestrian crossing. it was the same day that the new law about talking on your mobile came into force and guess what, he was on his mobile!! the company were very apologetic probaly only because they didnt want her to tell the police!!!

Yes especially if one just pulls out in front of me with no signals or no right of way. I think it gives the company an insight to their drivers capabilities. Hope this helps.

I rang one once just to see what the result would be. I explained that the driver of the vehicle had cut me up and almost caused an accident involving other cars. They took my name and address and 5 days later a huge lorry from that company turned up along with a huge burly looking driver. He delivered a package to me which was a sample of the company products. The driver asked if I had been complaining about one of the drivers in a very aggressive way. I said no, I had called to congratulate a driver on his exceptional driving skills. He went away happy.

Yes - twice - first time I only got through to an answerphone, so I told that how a particular lorry had been speeding and using the wrong lane on numerous occasions.
Second time I was informed of a website which I wrote on about a bus parking in a dangerous place and I got an answer from the company explaining the situ (can't remember the details now).
So we, as law abiding road users, can have a small effect on the rogue drivers.

Yes a bus cut me off several years ago. Called the number and it was a third party call center. No action or interest in taking my call or comments. Never again.

I dont know!! They seem pretty pointless to me! I mean what the heck are you gonna ring up and say 'your driving was brilliant!! i am very impressed!' - as if!!

Ive never rung one because they might charge like £1.50 a minute of something stupid.
