Donna, I think you just have to pay money for a new card to be addressed with your phone number and address on it.
However if you have had any violations in your previous state, you might have to retake the test. |

Most states just make you take the written state.. this is to make sure you are familiar with any state laws that differ from state to state.... like my friend who moved from Louisiana to Alaska.. she failed Alaskas test 4 times because the Alaska test consentrated more on Winter driving, and Drunk driving laws/penalties |

Once you get your drivers license you don't have to take the test any more; however, you need to go and have a drivers license made in your new state because your address and phone number has changed and it needs to be updated. |

You have to get a drivers license in your new state. What ever it takes to do that is what will be required of you. Call or email the Motor Vehicle Licensing Division (probably a slightly different name) in your new state. Get your information from the horses mouth, not here, this is frequently the other end of the horse.

i moved to pennsylvania from new jersey...
before i applied for a pa license, my nj license expired...
to get a pa license, i now have to get a pa LEARNER'S PERMIT...
(i have been driving for 50 years)....
