Do USA cars have daytime running lights?

How do you feel about driving with lights on during the day?

Driving with headlights on during the day is an added safety feature in that it makes the vehicle more visible to other drivers. I agree with it.

In the USA some vehicles have their headlights automatically come on when the engine is started.

I don't have an option, mine are on all the time. I have a switch that turns on the interior lighting (dash and console) for night driving, but the lights are always on.

It makes you more visible, which could never be a bad thing.

Some car do and most dont.

I drive with my light on ALL the time. When I had my BLACK Toyota MR2, I realized most other cars just didn't see me. So ever since I got in to the habit of driving with with my high beams on (during the day) and low beans on (during the night).

Good Luck..

I do not have daytime running lights and I have a 2003 foreign (not American) car. I don't drive much so I really don't care. Also it's no big deal for me to switch my lights on if I feel I need to be more visible during the day for whatever reason.

I think it should be a requirement, it makes you more visible and keeps other drivers more alert

The newer ones do. I think it makes you more visible to other cars.

Not all models do. Check the owners manual to see if you have that option. I turn mine off during bright days, saves a bit on power, extends life of bulbs!
