Do i need to purchase the ABS computer after an accident when reinstalling the airbags and module!!!!?

I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES, had an accident and now i have to change both driver and passenger side airbags.I purchased the airbags and module, i really need to know if i have to buy the computer again or can i just install everything??

Nope but you will need to buy new front airbag sensors as well and the most important thing is that you will need to have a professional install them because you will not know if they are going to work correctly after you are finished and second your insurance company will not insure the car until they have been inspected and certified that they are installed correctly.

If you are in a state where inspections are done, the airbag has to be present and working to pass inspection. Even if you aren't, it's not a good idea to do this yourself. I'd find a good body shop and get it done correctly.

If you do decide you want to do it yourself, remember you're working with a component that can explode. Ground yourself before touching anything.

ok, ABS and the airbags are two different components, there is the airbag module and a ABS module, why would you require a new ABS module, did it get wrecked ?
