Do slow drivers create aggressive drivers?

Yes, because where I live they have a maximum AND a minimum speed limit posted on the highways, but I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for going under the minimum! Why post it if you're not going to follow through? Speeding is more dangerous, but both cause driving hazards, so both should be ticketed!

Believe it or Not, in OHIO, if you are driving under the posted speed limit, you will be ticketed for not driving the posted speed limit.

You must be within 2 miles under or 5 miles over to not be ticketed.

Its crazy, but I have an uncle who is an officer and he is the one who confirmed this with me.

i think that the slow drivers shouldnt just drive in the left lane, and people shouldnt speed past in the shoulder , right lane or turn lane like they do here in Ohio.

my dad drives a suburban, and when we are towing a travel trailer that ways twice as much as the suv we dont have the power to go more then 55-60 let alone on a hill.

people get pissed and cut us off forgeting that their little sedan wieghs like 3000 pounds, while we are pushing 16,000

every one just needs to be considerate of everyone else, i think 5 under the limit is fine

Yes... though in the UK slow vehicles like Tractors + caravans are supposed to pullover and let other traffic through (but don't always do so).

omg yes! because then you have to try and get around them and that can produce an accident and people should just go the speed limit!

my husband an I was a truck driver for 8 years and we have found that slow drivers do create a lot of issues for many people. People who need to get to work as this one guy said. People like truckers who have deadlines to meet, people who drive a standard and are stuck doing 30 in a 55 up hill. Also lets consider other situations we have no thought of. Slow drivers really are a danger to the roads. not that I am saying one should travel 20 miles over the limit, however a person should be capable of driving at the speed limit and maintain it with out dropping speed.
As far as the police go, they don't want the slow drivers they want the fast drivers. perhaps they would make their quota's if they began to stop the poky drivers as well.

I was young once. I loved driving fast. I loved screaching the tires of my dad's cadillac all over town. I loved getting behind slow people and honking my horn, or tail-gating them and flipping them off.

Now, I am 60 yrs. old and drive a lot different. I don't see as well, I don't hear as well, and I have a lot less energy. So, I drive slower than the speed limit that's posted because IT IS THE SAFEST SPEED FOR ME.

Do you want old people to drive faster than they feel safe driving? What if I caused an accident because I was going faster than I felt safe driving because some young punk was in a hurry?

Slow drivers do not create aggressive drivers. Aggressive drivers are the ones who should be ticketed for not being able to control themselves.

A few months ago, some punk didn't like how I was driving. She started honking at me, giving me the finger, and getting right on my tail. When we got to a traffic light, she was behind me. I put my car in park, jumped out and ran back to her car. She saw me coming and rolled up her window. I stood there yelling at her, trying to get her to come out of her car. Yes, I was ready to beat her a**. I'm old, but I'm not weak. I can still take care of myself.

Oh yes. . . I had called the cops on my cell phone and they pulled up as I was standing next to the aggressive driver's car. She's the one who received a ticket.

I think going 5 under should be legal. UNLESS they're doing it in the left lane. Yes, they create, or more rather aggrivate aggressive drivers.

YES!!!!!! It takes me 48 minutes to get to work in heavy traffic, and few delays. I leave the house 60 minutes before needing to be to work. THEN a slow driver with a bumper sticker that says "I break for tailgaters" pulls in-front of me and wants to drive 15 miles under the speed limit. Now I arrive at work 20 minutes late.

so do I leave an hour and a half early and make it to work almost an hour early so that my wife can accuse me of cheating a gain?

or do I leave at the same time and make it for the most part, but chance the road being taken over by slow drivers?

or do I call the local police station and report this driver and these cases and hope they actually do some thing about it?

or should I simply smash my car in theirs and pray they learn their lesson? I have accident forgiveness.

No, slow drivers do not create aggressive drivers. Impatience and bad tempers create aggressive drivers. The Interstate system was created by the Eisenhower administration so the Department of Defense could move military convoys. Civilians are allowed to use the interstate highways by the good graces of DOD. You are a guest on the interstate - conduct yourself as such. The minimum speed limit on the interstate is 40 mph. If a vehicle is traveling between the upper and lower limits, leave them alone.

Well no, but I hate when your trying to get somewhere and people's in your way.

Like the other day I was in the fast lane and this person in front of me belonged in the slow lane. I was trying to get to the mall before It colsed. It was going to close in 20 minutes.
