Since I don’t have a car I often use my bike on campus(the bus is to expensive to take like 1 or 2 stops!)
I’ve skidded and and fallen several times.
I tried using the spray can product tire grip but it’s expensive wears quickly and does not make a huge difference.
I have heard there are winter bike tires but I’m not sure

yes a local bike shop near me sells studded tires for a mountain bike
dont know what they are worth though |

Get the ones like they have for the guys that do the tricks on bikes.

If you have a street bike then no they dont, but if you have a dirt bike then just go down and get mountain biking tires at your local bike shop or order online... they work well in the snow... |

Yeah, I think they make them. But, if you're handy, you can stud your own bike tires. My brother is doing that. Just google it & it will tell you how. They have these spiky metal things coming out for extra traction. |

There's no perfect way to ride on ice.
You can let a very little air out of the tyres to make them softer and spread a littel further if they are currently tight.
Generally though, ride appropriately for being on ice - slowly and ready to slip. You can't ride a bike normally on ice! |

If it's only 1 or 2 bus stops, I would just walk to the campus. It's safer walking than riding bike to school in winter time(so many idiot drivers). Save your money. yes, there are winter tires for bikes. |

I'm not completely sure, but I think they make much more rugged tires with deeper tread. I hope I have helped you a little. If you find a better answer, good hunting! |

I don't doubt that they do.
But, is it worth it?
Maybe you just need to ride slower. Or be aware that the roads are slick.
