Do u think that a 15 year old should drive?

Sorry there is much responsibility that comes with driving. Now days it has become a headache to drive. I know it is a big time in a young teenagers life for them to drive. I think the driving age should be moved up to at least 18. Just through this in the back of you mind. When I was in high school I had six different friend that lost there lives in car accidents and another five that was in very bad wrecks that did come out OK but with major injuries. Injuries that will last them a life time. Don't rush into thing you have the rest of your life to drive.

i think the parents should decide wether their under 17 years old child is ready to drive..r they responsible enough?..they r the only ones who truly know...there r tooooo many teens dying in car accidents...I'm sorry

just because you have straight A's, does not mean you are responsible behind the wheel. I'm only 18, i know how much you want to drive, but if you wait a year and just dont bug your parents much about it, they will see the maturity you have and you are more likely to get a license that way than to complain to them about it. Believe me, thats how I started driving..

In many cases most people should not ever drive.

15 is too young and even today many 16 year old kids do not have the mental maturity for the responsibility.

School grades alone do not make you smart. Ever hear the phrase "Over educated idiot?"

depends on the kid..every kid is a different stretch of road and should be taken on a case by case basis

No. Personally I feel that the driving age should be raised to 18 like it is in most of the rest of the world.

I don't think you should because even though you say you are responsible, how would you react if you were in a car accident? Do you realize that most accidents caused on the roads today are by young drivers who "claim they are responsible". I was hit by a young girl who was 16 and only had her license for a couple of months. She was trying to make a phone call on her cell phone and ended u[ rear-ending me. She said that she was a really responsible girl and she couldn't believe it had happened. Now if she was a responsible person, a) she would have had directions, ( that was why she was on the phone she was lost) and b) she would have had someone with her that was an adult. That is just my 2-cents.

Your 15 so I guess you should listen to your parents, driving is a privilege not a right. Unless you have a job after school why do you need to drive? I had to have a job, had to buy my own vehicle, gas, insurance, license, etc in order to have my own vehicle, plus I had to pay for driver's ed.

Parents usually know best, but if you need to be driving to get to work or something important or vital, to your having driving privileges, then by all means, go get your hardship license.

Well, my daughter started driving at 15, but *SHE* was (and IS) very mature and responsible for her age.

Like some other people, I don't understand why you think your grades have anything to do with it - they don't.

Show your parents that you've MATURED enough to accept responsibility for your actions and they might relent.

I dare say there's probably a REASON they're making you wait. Perhaps you have a little growing up to do first?

Not only no, No way, no how, not even, never!!!!!!!!! 15 year olds are in no way mature enough to be in control of any vehicle operated outside of a parking lot. I've driven 18 wheelers all over the N. American continent, and have seen alot of young people die over really stupid things. Good Luck!

Yes I really do think that you should be able to drive. You sound like a very responsible young lady and of course a great student in school. Your parents are just trying to look out for your safety when they want you to wait a year to start driving. Believe me the road is one crazy people full of rude psychos. I think what your parents are mainly concerned about, however, is how many teenage car accidents occuring throughout the world on a daily basis. You sound like you will be a very good driver. If your parents still say no then you just need to respect that and move on because your parents know what is best. Make sure also since you are only 15 if they let you start driving you must have an adult in the car with you at all times from when you first start driving to when you get your drivers license. Good luck in convincing your parents to start getting behind the wheel!
