Do you always wear a seat-belt whilst driving a car, or not?

Do you always wear a seat-belt whilst driving a car, or not?

I personally do.
Additional Details
I just came back after my nap (4 hours) and thumbs up'd all you good people who always wear a seat belt and recognise it's importance.

I asked this question cause an 18 year old on another forum was ranting that a policeman stopped him for illegal numberplates... and then went on to tell everyone he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was eating a McDonalds at the time.

I have worn a seat belt since I first learnt to drive in 1963. I had them fitted in my first car,a ford Anglia, and also had fitted full harness belts in the back for the 2 children from 1966. Never would move without wearing them.

Always - and if my husband is in the passenger seat he gets nagged until he's put his on too!

Spanishscotty
Every time! My daughter was guilty of not wearing hers until her uncle took her and stood her in front of a mirror one day. He said to her - Look at your face and imagine what it would be like if you went through the windscreen! It had more effect than me nagging!

Always and pregnant women must wear seat belts
by law when travelling in cars. This applies to both front and back seats and pregnancy does not in itself automatically provide exemption from the law. If a doctor certifies that you are exempt on medical grounds then you do not have to wear a seat belt. But wearing your seat belt safely will help protect you and your unborn child.

neil desperandum
Yes. I always wore a seat belt before it became compulsory by law. Only a fool goes without one.

Yes I do. The seat belt saved my husband life when he was in a car accident.

lissaforest
yes, even to back out of the driveway (moving the car for someone else to get out or in) because you just never know what fool is going to loose control of their vehical and run into you. also because i live close to a curve on my street.

Of course I do, you have to be ******* retarded to drive my truck without one. Heh, with it on, they'll be able to find the body, without they'll never find it.

Only a complete fool would not wear a seatbelt. I'm amazed at the number of times I see young kids moving around in the back of cars obviously not belted in. If the parents had to transport a Ming Vase worth £250,000, I wonder if they would just chuck it on the backseat of the car?

hermitofnorthdome
i do

I always do. Or I have a big flashing seat belt sign come up on my dash board making a load beep. Which is really annoying. I don't feel right driving and not wearing one.
