Do you feel safer driving on a dual carriageway/motorway or a national speed limit single carriageway?
Find answers to your legal question.

Do you feel safer driving on a dual carriageway/motorway or a national speed limit single carriageway?

goverment statistic reckons that motorways are the safest roads because you don't have pedestrains, you've got multiple lanes and the fast/overtaking lane (so to help prevent tailgating and avoid havint to dangerously overtake slow vehicles), u've got the central barrier preventing opposite direction collisons and slow vehicles like tractors, provisonal license drivers, low powered mopeds and also pedestrains and prob couple ovas, yet I don't get why people think motorways are most dangerous just cos theyt're faster roads when teh speed limit is only 10mph difference form a single carriageway limit?

Don't bother me either way, i feel safe on any road. I think if you feel unsafe on any road then you shouldn't be driving. As for reducing the speed limit on rural roads as they thinking about that's just dumb.
Also can people please understand that it's 60 on rural roads not 25. I hate following people that go so slow on country roads. And no i'm not a bad driver, i follow the speed limits.

Look at the statistics; only 3% of KSI's (Killed and Seriously Injured) happen on motorways, therefore 97% occur on other roads.
In my opinion the roads requiring the greatest care are dual carriageways - motorway speeds combined with pedestrians, slow-moving vehicles, junctions of all kinds and learner drivers.
Notice I did not say these roads are dangerous. Roads are not dangeerous - road users make them so by behaving stupidly - see answerer above who implies that you should travel at 60mph on a single track road because that's the speed limit.

I feel safe on them all.
