Yes I do... Think about it this way. The person intentionally consumes alcoholic beverages and intentionally gets in a vehicle to drive. It no longer is an accident it is an intentional choice and act that puts his life and others in mortal danger.
Would you call it murder if someone put a bullet in a revolver, spun the cylinder, ran up to a perfect stranger, pulled the trigger, and the gun fired killing that person?
Driving after consuming alcoholic beverages is the same as playing Russian roulette just with a multi-tone vehicle. |

Yes, I do.
When a drunk driver causes an accident in which someone is killed, he is usually going to be facing involuntary manslaughter charges. Some states use different terms, such as “vehicular manslaughter” or “vehicular homicide”. Either way, the death was unintentional, but it was caused by the driver’s negligent or reckless conduct. |

Yes I do, but how about this? This story bothers me.
There was a girl in the town next to mine who ran over and killed a 15 year old. The girl was 17.
It happened right after high school got out and the girl was driving recklessly (probably trying to show off) passing cars at high speed in a no passing zone. Her SUV hit ice and she went right for the sidewalk.
Her case ended last month and she lost her license for 15 years.
She was not drunk, but I feel she got off the hook completely. That poor family.
She should have faced manslauter charges |

yes i do..i live in a small town and a couple of years ago two teenagers(brothers) were walking down the road about a block away from their house and this drunk driver ran off the road and hit them from behind..killing one instantly and the other died on the way to the hospital in the helicopter..there is no reason or excuse to drink and drive..this man is in prison and i do believe he got a life sentence(thankfully)...i always tell my son if he is ever in the sitiuation where he has been drinking to call me and i will pick him up..too many people have their lives destroyed by drunk drivers... |
