Find answers to your legal question.

Do you think passenger planes should have ejection seats with parachutes?

I don't understand why regular planes don't have the ejecting seats like fighter jets. That would save alot of lives if the plane goes down. I don't get it.
Additional Details
i think another way is to give each passenger a parachute. they should design the plane where the roof comes off with a emergency switch.

because fighter pilots are wearing military grade oxygen masks and can eject in low O2 environments where passengers would first kill themselves by hitting themselves against the roof, and if the roof was torn off, they would either suffocate before they ever got to an elevation where they could breathe unassisted, because they are not harnessed in they would be ripped from their first class or coach chair with the parachute.

How are going to get the roof off?

Because then we'd get people on crowded flights that can't wait to get off ejecting themselves.

Pull the lever ....Wheee!

no. that would be very dangerous because then stupid people who think there dare devils would most likely eject. and die it could kill 1000000's a year. but if the air planes only objected when in danger it would be a great idea..

No...3 reasons - 1) Extra weight - the airlines are already tacking on extra fees for luggage and are considering fares by passenger weight...This would mean fewer passengers and revenue per plane...2) Extra space for 'chutes would also mean fewer passengers per plane...3) Cost/Benefit - the cost to re-engineer and retrofit airliners is not worth it...Flying is still safer than any other form of public transport.

Ejection seats would not be effective for the front end crew, let alone the passengers - again engineering, weight and cost.

Theft of the parachutes

added weight and complexity
remove the roof so it can launch your butt

No! The average person would be killed by an ejection seat, and this would make aircraft so expensive that no one could afford to fly. This is a Rube Goldberg idea.

Because there would be more deaths if they dont do something with that roof that will not remove like a fighter jet...

Fighter pilots are trained to eject.
