I think that all of America should change the drinking age to 16 and the driving age to 21, so that by the time you turn 21 and start driving you should be able to hold your liquor, know your limit, and drive responsible when drunk. |

If everywhere in Michigan was more urban the age to drive could be 18. But most of Michigan is very rural, where I live public transportation is nonexistent, parents depend on their 16 olds to take themselves and younger children to practices and other after school activities. You can only be a stay at home mom/shuttle bus service for so long. |

In Texas, they have in place (or are trying to get in place, I can't remember and my kids are 23 and 21 so I don't pay too much attention), a graduated drivers license. At 16, they can drive with only so many people in the car (2 I think) and can't drive after a certain time at night. Then a few months later after they've some practice and are a little older they get more freedom and so on. I think this is more sensible that to flat out deny them a license til their 18!! |

I think it should be 18 everywhere...
Teenagers now'a days (especially around here) are getting in so many accidents.
Three weeks ago, three teenagers in a car got in a horrible accident due to not having responsibility; two of them died instantly. The driver was in the hospital for a week... and soon as he was released, he was sent to prison.
Basically, the younger generation now'a days don't have the responsibility to operate an automobile, nor do they follow the rules of the road. |

No. People have been driving since they were 12. Parents just need to step in and teach thier kids more responsibility for their actions. |
