Does airbags in cars good enough to save the life of a pregnant woman?

meaning does it save the unborn baby? Is is effective and tested?

Well, let's see.

It protects the woman, and stops her from getting damaged.

The child is inside the woman, so it's protected too.....

Amazing how logic works.

But the most efficient protection, is not getting in the accident in the first place. It's not hard to avoid accidents if you're a good driver. Do that, and it doesn't matter how good the safety equipment is.

Airbags are not magical but they damned sure are better than slamming into the steering wheel or dash at 20 "G"s which is pretty efficient at killing the unborn.

Yes; ALL safety systems in ALL cars have been extensively tested with crash test dummies configured to mimic the body and structure of a pregnant female driver and passenger.
However, some damage can still occur depending on the type and the severity of the impact. Any pregnant woman should have herself and the unborn child thoroughly checked at a medical facility after any traffic mishap.

It is not the airbag you need to be concerned about. It's the SEATBELT that will kill the baby.

While the airbag will certainly prevent the driver's head from contacting the steering wheel, the body slamming into the seatbelt at just about any speed will be fatal in my opinion.
