I've noticed in the past few years that people have been ignoring stop signs, red lights (including making turns at signals with red arrows), or even making U-turns when there are signs clearly posted indicating not to do so.
The vast majority of these people don't even have the excuse of being distracted by their cell phones (as if that weren't bad enough!).
If you are among the reckless, why do you do it?
If you witness the reckless actions, do you call the cops on your cell phone (assuming, of course, that it's legal in your locale to do so while driving!)? What did they do about it? (i.e., I tried to call a couple of times, especially when the offending motorist didn't even slow down, but was told on every occasion, "we can't do anything unless we witness it", to which I always respond, "well, then, get an unmarked cruiser, and follow the guy around! At least check the vehicle's wants/warrants/tickets/etc!").

every once in a while you'll see someone actually stopping at a stop sign or traffic light. (probably a newly licensed driver). your chances of anything becoming of your reporting the incident is next to nil. Just drive your vehicle as safe as possible, watch those other idiots, and leave well enough alone. Happy Motoring! |

Cops can't do anything unless they observe the crime so you can call and report till you're blue in the face...it's a waste of time. Besides cops got to watch out for the really dangerous guy running 3 MPH over the speed limit. Can't waste time looking for red light/stop sign runners. |

Look at the response of Court S. That about sums it up; everybody is too wrapped up in their own little "superiority complex" to have a little bit of consideration for anyone else.
ALSO -- where I live, I have noticed a LOT of Ford Crown Victorias with them crazy light sets on the top doing rolling stops too.
I mean, if the cops do it, why should they even care about anyone else doing it?
Just make your stops like you're supposed to do, and to heck with the rollers. Just maybe you'll set a good example for others, and they'll revert to obeying the traffic laws.
