I was involved in a car accident in which was the other drivers was in fact at fault. I also have witnesses that state this other person is the cause of the accident. My concern know is the other driver has not accepted fault. I am currently awaiting if the other person is going to accept fault or not. My concern is I only had liability on my car, so I do not have any benefits for myself. I currently received some bills for me and my children that are over 14,000. I have medicaid insurance for DHS. Does anyone know if medicaid pays for the emergency hospital bills and ambulance. The accident happened 3 weeks ago.
The following are a few of the services that was given at the hospital that contributed to the $14,?00 only for my younger son, $2000 for myself, and $2000 for my son. Obviously bill will be larger since I haven't received ambulance the ambulance
Radiology x-rays for everyone
spinal CT
Head CT
body CT
Abdominal
stitches were given.

More than likely they will pay, but any money you receive from the other parties insurance will go to pay back medicaid. Or if you end up going to court and any settlement you receive will go to medicaid equal to the bill, but anything over that you keep but it might effect your benefits Look at your states medicaid site or call your medicaid worker and they can answer your question. |

Nope. Had an accident, they covered nothing for me, I have to sue their (the other driver's) insurance company for the money. The accident was not my fault.
